No insurance in Fort Worth? Start with JPS Connection

If you live in Tarrant County and you don’t have health insurance, you still have a real door: JPS Connection, the county’s own safety-net health coverage. It covers care through JPS clinics and John Peter Smith Hospital, and it’s built for exactly this situation — no insurance, low income, and a health problem that can’t wait.

How JPS Connection works

JPS Connection is Tarrant County’s safety-net health coverage. Members get primary and specialty care through the JPS Health Network — clinics across the county plus John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. What you pay is based on your income.

And here’s the part most people miss: even if you don’t qualify for JPS Connection, uninsured patients at JPS still get at least 40% off self-pay bills. So the call is worth making either way — the eligibility team will tell you which door fits.
