Shakespeare Live! RenFest — noon to 6 p.m., Levitt Pavilion, 100 W Abram St, Arlington. A free family festival mixing Renaissance faire, Halloween, and Día de los Muertos themes — costumes encouraged — with a live performance of Macbeth at 7 p.m.
One honest note
Not everything Halloween is free — Boo at the Zoo, for example, needs paid zoo admission, so it is not on this list. Everything above is free to attend as listed.
